Tour de Worrigee Award Recipients

The winning team from the Annual Tour de Worrigee for 2021 was the Bike Exchange. On Friday 6 August, the students on this team received winners jerseys, certificates and a celebratory snack of croissants and cokes! These winning team members are Micah P, Jonathan Mc, Ethan L, Aiden S, Jesse R and Eli H.

Aiden S, in the famous yellow jersey, was the team leader. Jesse R is in the green jersey for the most number of laps. The other jerseys are the team support riders who are essential to the success of the team.

Kindergarten celebrate '100' Days

This week, Kindergarten celebrated 100 Days of school in style. We spent our day exploring activities based around '100'. A highlight of the day was our fashion parade where we all took to the catwalk to display our '100' themed outfits.

The entire day was 100% enjoyable!

Farewell Mrs Hylton-Cummins

In the last edition of the Bytes, we informed our school community that Mrs Liz Hylton-Cummins, who has served faithfully as our Canteen Manager for the past three years, would be resigning as she had accepted an exciting new role within the food preparation industry. We have been very thankful for the wonderful contributions that Liz has made to the professional operation of our school canteen during her time with us. On Monday of this week, all staff and some school board representatives gathered together to formally farewell Liz as we presented her with flowers and a gift in appreciation of her faithful service to our school.

New Canteen Manager appointed

I am delighted to announce that Mrs Fleur Creighton has now been appointed to the role of Canteen Manager. Mrs Creighton will be well-known to many at NCS as she previously worked at our school from 2013-2016 as our school librarian. She also possesses considerable skills and creativity when it comes to the area of food handling and preparation. We have been greatly encouraged by her interest in, once again, serving our school and look forward to having her join our team in this new capacity. Mrs Creighton’s first day in the role will be Monday, 16 August. I am confident that we will all make her feel very welcome as she settles into our NCS community.
