This week in Art we have started a new unit on Street Art, thinking about why artists put their work in public for everyone to see and some examples of street art. The students were introduced to Keith Haring, a well known artist from the 80’s and have created some artworks inspired by his colourful dancing figures.

Next week the art will be created using aluminium foil, recycled cardboard (cereal /muesli / biscuit boxes etc) and sharpies (textas) so if students could be prepared with these it would be wonderful. Here are some samples of their beautiful work created this week.
