In 1999, Brooke Gujinovic-student 1983-1986 became Victoria’s youngest Mayor in her twenties.  Brooke had gained experience in local government as a councillor, which prepared her well for her new Mayoral role.  At that time her main aim was to make a contribution to the council by making a difference particularly in relation to environmental and recycling decisions.  Certainly, a woman with a vision - because the issues related to the environment and recycling are foremost in the problems that continue to face society today.
