VCAL

The past fortnight has seen our VCAL students working conscientiously on the design and content of the VCAL Shop.

In groups, students are working on creating terrariums, face masks, candles, bags and ‘scrunchies’ that will be sold to the College Community in the coming weeks.

It has been impressive to see the independent and collaborative work being done on this project!

The second Enrichment Day for VCAL was held at the Thankyou headquarters in Collingwood. Thankyou is a social enterprise business that sells bottled water and a range of body wash and soap products with 100% of their profits going towards ending global poverty.

Students participated in the ‘My next chapter’ workshop with Kalvin who encouraged the students to think outside the square and to know their reason for doing what they do.

Students were fortunate enough to receive a copy of the book, ‘Chapter One’ written by Daniel Flynn – Co Founder of Thankyou.

The session concluded with a tour of the Thankyou offices where students noted the positive vibe, fun culture yet productive work space.
