Visual Art Captains

Two Year 12 students were voted into these positions by their peers.  The aim of their roles as Captain and Vice Captain is to publicise and support art events and activities in the College.  We congratulate Sneha and Elise as they take on their roles with passion and enthusiasm.

Sneha Reju

Loves: I love to read books, paint animals using watercolour, and dance.​

Is inspired by: The beauty of nature and everything around me.

Favourite Artist: Fiona Hall

Favourite art media or style of art: Watercolour

My goal as Art Captain is to increase the participation rates of students in art around the College.  In addition to this, I want students to understand that you don't have to be good at art to do it, and that it has many benefits if you do try it out. 

Elise Colclough

Loves: Cats, painting, anime, and cartoons.

Is inspired by: My past experiences, my pets, artists that I follow, friends.

Favourite Artist: Claude Monet

Favourite art media or style of art: Acrylic paint and watercolour.

My goal as an Art Captain is for everyone to be involved in the arts, and stop doubting their abilities.  Too many people tell themselves, "I'm not good enough", and it needs to stop now.  It's trying and having fun that counts!
