District Cross Country - Tuesday 25th May

The Cross Country team, made up of 51 students from Year 3 to Year 6, headed to Ruffey Park Lake on Tuesday to compete in their running events. There was nervous energy and excitement upon arrival but as soon as the races began this turned into focus and determination. All team members displayed outstanding sportsmanship and personal excellence in their races with 16 students finishing in the Top 10 to progress to Division.

Congratulations to Mackenzie D, Isaac C and Daniel S who came 1st in their age group, as well as Brandon K and Jacob K who came 3rd. Other team members finishing in the Top 10 were; Matthew M, Jackson M, Theo S, Ava M, Iris T, Grace H, Miles F, Melrain H, Vanessa C, Griffin B and Coby V. Amazing effort!

Congratulations not only goes to the team members that progressed but to the whole team who all did our school proud. It was a very successful day and displays the growth our students have made in their competitive running skills. The hard work and effort all students have put in with running club and in PE classes is a credit to their success.

Special mention to Mr Burrill and Ms Gasowski who were outstanding support to all our students.
