Bookmark Challenge is back

This is your chance to shine by combining your love of reading with your creative side to design the official 2020 NHS Library bookmarks. The Library and the Art Committee are inviting all students to submit their design for our annual bookmark design challenge.

 

  • Theme is based on literature
  • The style is your choice
  • Open to all year levels
  • One entry per student and one student per entry
  • Size: approx. 5cm x 19cm – suitable image and clarity to fit the bookmark template
  • Prizes for the six winning entries
  • Entry forms at the Library desk

Busy lunchtimes in the Library

There is plenty going on in the John Cain Library at lunchtimes, including craft, fun programming activities and chatting about books. Anyone can drop in and join. We hope to see you soon!

 

Make and Take Mondays

Quick and easy craft activities each Monday lunchtime in the library. Activities programmed this term include decorating terracotta garden stakes, badge making, memory wire jewellery and more. All materials provided.

 

Stem Corner

Each Tuesday lunchtime come and tinker with the STEM corner equipment. Choose from Sphero robots (BYOD to program), Lego Mindstorm, circuit building sets and more. All equipment provided and all welcome.

 

Book Club 

The John Cain Library Book Club will meet for the first time on Wednesday 26 Feb at lunchtime in L4.    Join in and talk about all things books.    Please ask at the library desk for details or to sign up.   Everyone is welcome and remember to bring your lunch.
