Whole School Assembly

A momentus occasion

Last week the entire school gathered on Merri Park for our first whole of school assembly in over 30 years.  The aim was to connect our large community, and it certainly did as we welcomed our new year 7s,  presented our student leaders, celebrated achievement and highlighted humanity and fairness through a discussion of inclusion and the historic re-naming of Batman house to 'Cooper' house.  

It was a huge logistical effort including a custom-built stage, hiring of PA equipment and drone footage in action.

Some highlights were the choir singing 'This is Me' (which could well become our theme song for the year), the speeches from our School Captains and the joy of hearing out our Year 12 2019 achievements in VCE and VCAL. A rousing finish from the Jazz Orchestra (student-directed) topped it all off!
