Phoenix Rising

Thank you to all the helpers.

In May we were able to hold seven performances of our KCC variety concert Phoenix Rising to around 2000 people. We, as a group of assisting teachers, took great pride in seeing so many of our students shine in front of us. The rehearsal process and the performances were enjoyable in equal measure, mainly because of the outstanding commitment and positive attitudes the students brought to each session.

A huge thank you to Melanie Hale, Claudia Reardon and Eve Conlan for their excellent work with the singers; to Clementine Patterson, Tegan Bonet and Nicole Goggin for their efforts keeping the show running so smoothly backstage; to Robert Thompson and David Chaston for their skill in leading the band and the Chamber Ensemble; to Alison Sutton and Narelle Potts for their creative eye in costuming the show; to Kira Lough, Amy Toole, Ellie Crozier, Jessica Takats and the Red Chorus for their patient and clever contributions to the choreography; to Karen Murray and Narelle Potts for running the canteen; and finally to the many teachers who helped out supervising backstage or by helping run the front-of house.

Thanks also to Josh Barr and Paddy Prest for coming back to help us out on guitars in the band.

Well done to all involved!
