Intermediate Wilsons Promontory Camp

This year students were lucky enough to run two camps to Wilsons Prom for the intermediate VCAL students on 10th and 11th of May and 19th and 20th of May. The camp consisted of the students having to plan and organise what food they were going to cook on the Trangia’s and what equipment they would need to take for the duration of the camp.

On day one students had to pack the buses with all the equipment that was needed. When students arrived at tidal river camping ground they unpacked and set up the camp.

Students then proceeded to walk up Mt Oberon which has some awesome views of the landscape.  It was amazing to see all the students make the trek up to the top of the mountain.

At around 5:30pm students started cooking dinner, then went on the night walk along Biddy’s track to Norman Bay Beach.

The next morning, students packed up and took in some of the scenery viewing Whale Rock and the bridge over Tidal River, before traveling back to Cranbourne Secondary College.

Both camps were fantastic. The students were very well-behaved and the relationships that were developed throughout were priceless.

THE AMAZING RACE

The Amazing Race was held on 25th and 26th of May 2021.

The Senior student had been working tireless to put on an Amazing Race for the Intermediate VCAL classes. Each senior class was matched up with an intermediate class and they designed the race around Melbourne CBD.

Intermediate students were given clues and challenges at each stage of the race, which they had to complete to move on the next challenge.

It was a fun filled day with the Intermediate students walking, running and catching trams to each check point. All students participated and it was a great day out run by the senior students.
