Junior Boarding Activities / Senior Boarding Activities and Events

For the past two weeks we have had very cold and wet weather which hasn't been nice but still the borders have had a wide range of activities from like basketball in our courtyards, netball, kicking the football when on the outside courts. To use the hall for our favorite game of belly flop baseball and also to play dodgeball.

The boarders have also been able to use the activities room for some chill time in this cold weather, doing things like making personal keyrings out of beads and also doing some amazing drawings.

Looking forward to some up and coming events, which include Naidoc week activities and to end the term with trivia night.

MEBS Transport

Despite the inclement weather, the Boarding car is in demand. There are many activities happening outside of school hours for the Boarding students that request the use of the vehicle for transport to and from their locations. The activities include Netball, AFL training, Rugby, Soccer, Flute lessons, French Tutoring, General Turoring, Gymnastics, gyms, band practice, Tai Kwon do and swimming  to name a few.

The main function of the Boarding car is for medical, dental appointments and school based educational activities.  Students and families should  plan ahead and check before making appointments as the demand for this type of transport is high.

We ask that the students meet the driver at the car which is parked directly in front of the path to the main entrance and to be punctual. During Covid -19 restrictions which are currently in place, masks must be worn when traveling in school/ boarding transport.

Mount Erin is very fortunate to have a Boarding car and a dedicated driver. There are very few schools who offer this service.

The Boarding Car / Transport officer operates between 3.30pm and 7.15pm Monday to Thursday.  Medical/ Dental and School based activities have priority over personal activities.

Mr James Mortensen says there is no truth to the rumour that the Mount Erin Boarding signage on the Boarding Car will be replaced by the Melbourne AFL Footbal Club logo in September. Hmmm - we wonder who James follows in the AFL?
