Junior Girls
Welcome to Term 3. An extra big welcome to our new year 7 boarder Asher Jones. It was with sadness that we farewelled Junior Girls Supervisor Annika Brown. Annika will be missed by all the young people and the staff. While awaiting the appointment of the new supervisor I have had the pleasure of supervising junior girls, It was lovely spending time with them. A big thanks to Mick McTaggart for supervising the boys while I was away.
The Junior Girls have handled the staff movement during the start of Term 3 quite well.
From Term 2
Junior Girls Supervisor Mel Fuller has taken up a new job and left Mount Erin Boarding house at the end of Term2. Ms Naomi Barton covered Mel until the holidays working with Annika Brown. At the beginning of Term 3, Annika took up a new career with Landcare Australia. Naomi became acting Junior Girls Supervsior from the beginning of Term 3. Newly appointed Junior Girls Supervsior Ms Lara Plum has now assumed the full role of Junior Girls 7 - 9 full time. We also welcome Ms Chelsea Gray who will be the Sunday Night Supervisor. A big welcome to Lara and Chelsea.
New for Term 3
We welcome new Year 7 Asher Jones who began boarding this term. Asher has enjoyed settling into the boarding house (and especially enjoying not having to ride the bus in from Gundagai every day).
The Junior Girls have given our newcomers a warm welcome and have been very supportive of their transition into boarding life!
Junior Boys
Welcome back to term 3 to the junior boy’s and their families. The boy’s are adjusting to the cold and frosty mornings of Winter. Most boy’s are engaging in more down time and activities inside in the warm although some still enjoy shooting hoops or a spot of table tennis. Over the year the boys have formed strong friendships and this shows in their positive interactions with each other. The boys are such fun and are always making me laugh. They certainly keep me on my toes but are a delight to look after.
