5/6 T

Welcome back to Term 2! I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter break and are ready for what will be another busy term.  

LITERACY

Over the last two weeks we have provided the students with opportunities to practice and showcase their planning and writing skills for narratives and persuasive texts. 

In 5/6T, the students wrote fictional recounts for the day in the life of Kevin the pug. 

They were very excited when Kevin came in for a surprise visit. 

MATHS

To begin the term we have been learning all about formal and informal units of measurement. The students have engaged in a range of hands on activities where they have used various tools to precisely measure objects. They have also completed a project where they had to design a new school playground where they explored area, perimeter and stuck to a budget.
