Welcome to Term 2 and welcome to Miss. Monique!  

Maths

Our first unit we are focusing on in Maths is Addition.  We have been playing some fun games, practising our strategies for addition.

Literacy

During Writing our focus has been Persuasive Texts.  Students have been writing arguments about different topics, such as, 'All Children Should Have a Pet,' and 'Books are better than TV.'

Reading Groups are up and running!  Please remember to keep reading at home every night, asking your child questions about their book or asking them to tell you about what they are reading.

Education in Faith

Some of our students will  be participating in the Sacrament of Eucharist this Term.  We will be learning about the Sacrament through learning about celebrations and thanksgiving.

Inquiry

This term in inquiry we are looking at The Importance of Sustainability. We will learn about living things and how they rely on the environment to survive. Students will also learn about the life cycles of different living things, and understand the importance of habitats for plants and animals which will encourage them to think and act sustainably when we interact with the environment.
