Our fabulous Second Hand Book Sale

From Franziska, Parent

After the recent successful new book sale, a couple of parents decided to organise a second hand book sale. The aim was that every child could afford to buy some books even on the smallest pocket money budget.

Alice kindly sorted out lots of books from the library and many families donated preloved children's books.

During the two days of the Arts festival we then sold boxes full of all kinds of books. I loved seeing children of all different ages and their families happily browse through the piles of books and carry smaller and sometimes quite large packs of books home to read and enjoy.

We raised over $200 for the school library and donated the left over books to a charity to use in a school overseas.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped to make this event possible including the kind staff for letting us use their staff room for several days, Lucy for the beautiful posters, Alice and all the families for providing us with books and all the kids who enthusiastically helped to sell books during the event.

Maybe we can stock up the adult's book shelfs at the next event too!

Teachers' Day - 25 October

From Laura, Parent

To thank our wonderful teachers and support staff, the Parents and Friends Committee hosted a Teachers' Day morning tea. We hope our fantastic staffing team enjoyed the delicious treats. Thank-you to the families who contributed to the morning tea and to Laura (Lucia and Wilco's mum), Lou (Amina and Sophie's mum) and Jane (Connor and Elizabeth's mum) for organising and setting up the spread.

A special thanks to Gen (Lila and Sasha's mum) for coordinating the beautiful messages from the students for their teachers. The messages gave the morning a very special and personal touch.

2020 Prep Parents and Carers Morning Tea

From Lucy, Parent

A morning tea will be hosted for our incoming prep parents on the morning of Friday 22 November.  While their little people are getting a taste of classroom life parents and carers of our incoming preps are invited to connect with each other and our school community over a cuppa.

We would like your help to welcome these new families to our school by:

  • dropping off a plate of food to share to the Biz E Kidz room on Friday 22 November before school; and/or
  • joining the morning tea as a current parent to mingle with our new families, answer questions and make people feel welcome.

  • Please text Lucy on 0400 223 113 if you would like to help out in this way.

Calling for Fun Run/Fete Committee
