SCIENCE ROCKS

Everywhere we look at Black Rock Primary we can see terrific Science projects. 

The Year 3 and STEM clubs are partnering with the wonderful WILKO from Sandringham Secondary College to explore science over the next term. The teams are making rockets which we will launch during Science Week on Monday 12th August.  Students will be creating, experimenting and exploring science with Wilko in the STEM room this term.

Year 2 Science

Year 2 have had "Mad About Science" visit where they are investigating  Push and Pull. 

Students experimented with tops and spinners and discussed forces and friction. 

Neon Nights Auction Items

We are looking forward to a great night Saturday night. We have some great auction items: 

1.     Melbourne City Football Club - Chairman’s Club prize - for 8 adults and 8 kids. This includes the game, a two course lunch, beverages and for the kids, access to kids club, food and refreshments. So get a group of friends together and have a bid! Value $3000

2.     Crown Towers + package of local vouchers = Value $700

3.     1 x night’s accommodation at the Como Hotel + 4 tickets to the Football to see North vs Port Adelaide on Saturday 17th August – includes underground parking = Value $600 (and the hotel accommodation can be used on a different date)

4.     Artwork from each of our Foundation Classes - beautifully presented and framed.

1.     Get your Glow On!! A touch of neon is just fine or feel free to go all out!! Prizes for best dressed!!

3.     Enjoy a welcome drink on us - your voucher will be handed to you on entry

4.     Make sure you grab your raffle tickets and browse our Silent Auction section.

5.     Please bring some Cash to splash (please note credit card payments can be taken for live & silent auction items).

And.....if you can’t make it (or even if you can) make sure you grab your tickets in our Pre Social Raffle (sent home with your children this week)
