CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Our VET Certificate III Make-up students were required to create a 'seasonal' merchandise display to achieve competency in the unit 'Produce Visual Merchandise Displays'. After the students were given the theme 'Christmas in July' and a few props to work with, they then set to work collaboratively planning and designing their display.

I believe the students have excelled in this area and covered everything from constructing a planogram to cleverly creating intricate little sticky price labels for individual items.

The display will remain in place in the Salon ‘shop’ window for the next two weeks, allowing students the time to not only rotate and replenish stock but also to maintain the appearance of the display. Well done to all the students in Certificate III in Make-up.

COLLEGE TOUR AND TEACUP TUESDAY

Families interested in enrolment for 2020 are warmly invited to attend a College Tour, which can give you an insight into life at the College. Following the tour, we invite attendees to a morning tea with the Principal, Mrs Marg Blythman, and the College Executive Team.

The next College Tour and Teacup Tuesday will be held on August 6, 2019. For more information and to make a booking, click here.

PAM - EXCURSION PERMISSIONS

For excursions requiring permissions, the College will now be seeking consent for some excursions via the Parent Access Module (PAM). If your child is involved in an excursion, you will receive an email notification and instructions on how to complete the form on PAM. If you require your PAM log in details again or require a password reset, please contact Ms Danielle Virgona at the College on (03)5018 8000.

REPORTS

Reports have now been updated to include exam results. You can access the updated reports on PAM. Year 9 students will hopefully have gained some valuable insights into the exam process and hopefully the importance of starting a study routine early to consolidate the learning that has occurred in class.

While exams are a small component of assessment  in Years 9 and 10 they do become more important if students progress to VCE. With this in mind we hope all of our Year 9 to 11 use the exam process as a learning experience.
