Primary Learning Centre

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support
As part of our integrated unit focusing on Community, the Primary Learning Centre is introducing three expected behaviours (rules) which we will be working on throughout the term and beyond to support all students to understand and follow:
- Be Safe
- Be Respectful
- Be a Learner
These behaviours are being introduced based on the School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) approach which is a whole-school framework providing school professionals with an approach to promote improved behaviour at their school.
SWPBS has been developed from evidence and data, demonstrating the most effective ways to prevent and respond to problem behaviour at school. Research has shown that SWPBS is successful in reducing problem behaviour, improving school culture, and increasing academic performance
Throughout each week we will be rewarding students displaying our expected behaviours with a sticker on our SWPBS chart. Each Friday afternoon at our PLC assembly special certificates will be given to those students who have tried their very best to demonstrate the expected behaviours throughout the week.
