Religious Dimension

Our second reading this week, from 1 Corinthians 2:6-10  is a wonderful reminder of what wisdom can be from a Christian perspective.  With age and experience we gain insight and pray that we make decisions and choices which are good for ourselves, family and friends. This passage reminds us not to rely on human wisdom alone.  When we have the gift of the Holy Spirit and a relationship with Jesus Christ we can hand over our devotions and cares to help guide us.  Our faith challenges us to remember who our founder is and that he knows the plans he has for us.  I wonder who you give your devotions and prayers to?  From whom to we seek spiritual nourishment and gratitude.   Jesus Christ is the architect of our faith and gives us so much wisdom.

Sacramental Program - Year 4 Eucharist

This term we will begin our preparations for First Eucharist with our Year 4 students. In class, we will be teaching the students about the significance of this sacrament as part of their faith journey; however, we know that our parents play a very important role in preparing the children with us.

Our parish community, along with St. James in Vermont, are offering a Parent/Adult Faith formation evening for our Year 4 Parents with students who are completing their Eucharist on Wednesday, 1 March.

It will be  in St. James' Community Space, 51 Centre Road, Vermont. There will be plenty of parking.

The evening will commence at 6.00pm - 7.00pm, so please be prompt.

This year we have a guest speaker, Carlie Anderson, who was a parent from our parish, leading us in this Eucharistic workshop through imaginative prayer.  We look forward to sharing this evening of deepening our faith with our Year 4 parents and students.
