New Oval playground update…

Our Oval Playground is finally almost complete!

It has been a long process, we started fundraising for this space in 2019, but were then basically shut down for all of 2020 and into 2021!

Even this year the progress was hindered by the very unusually wet weather that we have had this term. But…. finally it is ready to be officially opened at the start of the 2023 school year.

Please remember that this ‘nature playground’ was never designed to look like and function like a traditional playground with lots of equipment.

A nature playground is designed with spaces that encourage creative play, spark imagination and for students to play collaboratively.

There are still some plantings to go in and Mrs Dunn was successful in securing a grant worth $3000 to develop an Indigenous ‘tucker trail’ as part of the playground footprint. Mrs Dunn will work with a number of students in 2023 to complete this part of the playground.

We are very excited to ‘open’ it in 2023.
