2023 DRI Ambassadors

Introducing our 2023 Dolphin Research Institute Ambassadors - Sophia, Milly, Tahlia and Lexi.

On Tuesday 29th November our marine ambassadors left Sorrento Pier on the Moonraker Boat and journeyed into Port Phillip Bay.

Although it was choppy they snorkelled with the Australian fur seals around the South Channel Pile Light. 

Under the structure live a group of young male seals and on top, there are Australasian Gannets nesting as well as Pied Cormorants resting.

Lexi, Sophia, Tahlia and Milly snorkelled from the back of the boat and learnt a lot about the creatures who live in the water.

While the boat moved around the bay they had time to rest, eat lunch, chat and enjoy the scenery.

They finished their experience with a snorkel around Blairgowrie Pier.
