JOHN MITCHELL - SCHOOL SPORTS VICTORIA 20 YEARS OF SERVICE

Last week John Mitchell was awarded the 20 Years of Service Award.  John has been involved in the S.S.V. pathway events since arriving at St Louis with an incredible amount of success.  He has been the Chelsea District Coordinator for several years and also the Kingston Division Coordinator.  Events such as athletics, swimming, summer and winter interschool sports take an incredible amount of time and detail.  John's events always ran smoothly, supported the teachers and volunteers, and, importantly, always had the utmost of integrity.

At our school level, he has taught thousands of students and has supported them all - from preps who have never caught a ball before to Victorian State finals.

John, your award is richly deserved and a credit to the volume of time and effort you have put into the sports program.

SWIMMING TRAINING

For the past 3 Wednesday mornings we have been running a squad swimming program at Toby Haenan Swim Centre in Wells Rd. Chelsea Heights.  Dedicated have been dropping the students off at 7.00 am in the morning for an hour of lane work.  Sinead Goodfellow is a past St Louis student and has been a remarkable coach.  We have had big numbers and to coach and her ability to develop the entire group has been amazing.  It has been the perfect lead up to next week's St Louis de Montfort's Swimming Carnival.

All the Best
