Good afternoon families
This week has seen the swimming program finish for prep - 2 classes as well as the Beach program for Yr 3-6. Both programs were very successful and all students who attended these programs had a great time and learnt a little bit more about water safety.
Congratulations to Mr John Mitchell on achieving a 20 year service medal to School Sports Victoria. John has worked hard in supporting SSV through a variety of leadership positions over the last 20 years.

Farewell to staff:
Mr John Mitchell is leaving after 20 years. John has been the PE teacher until 2021 when he went into a classroom teaching role. John is continuing his teaching career at St John's in Ferntree Gully. I would like to thank John for all his hard work and dedication over his time at St Louis and wish him every success at his new school.

Anna has also filled in around the school doing numerous teaching roles and is a wonderful teacher. I thank Anna for her flexibility to go anywhere and teach anything. I wish her all the best in her new career.

Year 3 girls cupcake stall.
Five Year 3 girls raised $350 from their cupcake sale. The money has been sent to St Joseph's Rochester. St Joseph's has been severely hit by the recent floods. They are not able to be at their school site, so the P-2 classes are travelling daily to a near by town while the Yr 3-6 classes travel to Bendigo each day. Some classrooms will be ready for the start of the new school year but the whole school will not be completed until later in the year. The principal was very emotional when she heard of the girls' efforts and was very appreciative when she spoke to them on the phone. A great job girls.
Year 5 girls' St Vinnie's Drive
A huge thank you to the whole school community for support the Year 5 girls' St Vinnie's drive. The 4 girls made up 50 gift packs and these will be collected by Sue Dornan, who is the parish representative for St Vincent Society.
The girls also made lemonade and sold glasses of lemonade and zooper doopers after school today. They had a wonderful idea and made it all come true. Well done girls on a super effort.
