2022 Summary of Events

What an amazing year of events and FUNdraising we have had! We are very lucky that we are part of a school community that values the learning of children and sense of community – this is evident through the continued support of all the P&F events and activities. THANK YOU to all the P&F members, families of St. Fidelis, Staff and Community businesses (a list of major supporters will be presented in newsletter next week) that allow us to run these events and yield such wonderful results.

Below is a current, up to date summary of profit and loss, however, final events such as icy pole close, Christmas raffle and Christmas carol activities is yet to be added.

As you can see, this year alone, as a school community we have raised $19,790.52 (not yet including the addition of our final events). What an effort, we should all be proud, THANK YOU!

And while we’re discussing profits and LOSS, the P&F would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU and FAREWELL to Lucy Leahy. Lucy has been an active member of the P&F for 8+ years, with her final role as P&F treasurer. Lucy has decided it is time to step down from the P&F, and what a great loss to us this will be! So hint, hint – the TREASURER role is up for grabs! Lucy, many thanks for all your years of service, we are sure to continue ‘annoying’ you for assistance and we’ll see you around the school yard! Also, FAREWELL and THANK YOU to Irene Bautista, who has also assisted with numerous P&F activities/events the past couple of years. Your time and support is greatly appreciated!

St. Fidelis Community Day

On Sunday 19th March, 2023, St. Fidelis will be hosting a ‘Community Day’. It will run from 12pm – 4pm and be comprised of FOUR MAJOR COMPONENTS:

  1. Food/Drinks
  2. Teaching/Learning – Open day information for prospective families
  3. Market Stalls
  4. Children’s Games/Entertainment

As you could imagine, the P&F committee alongside school administration has already begun planning for this event. It is an important event as we are hoping to gain future student enrolments, fundraise for the school and as usual celebrate our school community. In anticipation of this event, we need YOUR ASSISTANCE in the following way/s:

  • If you have some spare time and would like to join the committee for this event, please contact Josie (details below).
  • If you have some GOOD CONDITION 2nd hand toys/books/clothes to sell at one of our market stalls, please drop them to the school office.
  • If you have some BRAND-NEW toys/homewares/tagged clothing/books (or anything else) to sell at one of our market stalls, or use as raffle/game prizes, please drop them to the school office.

We look forward to helping Manuela host this community day and we know that with your support, this will again prove to be another successful fundraising event for the school with the bonus of ‘bragging’ our wonderful school to the wider community.

THANK-YOU for taking the time to stay updated with the P & F NEWS!

P&F meetings will commence again in 2023, as we had our final meeting (the AGM) on Thursday 1st December. Thank you to all the parents who attended and for your motivation and support for this year and for next year.
