PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Jillian Rainger

Dear Families

Over the last two weeks, I have had the opportunity to continue my learning. I attended a conference in Sydney titled "School and the Law" which updated me on the legal requirements around families, excursions and social media. Last week I attended the Armidale Diocesan Principal's Meeting where I had the opportunity to visit 3 schools in Tamworth. It is always exciting to look at how different schools operate as I always learn something, as well as re-affirming the work that the staff do here at Holy Trinity School.

We have also been having conversations regarding the use of devices, both phones and iPads. These have been had with the School Executive, Leadership team, Staff,  with a focus group from Year 8, 9 and 10 as well as our parent groups - the P and F and the School Advisory Council. We will be updating our protocols and explaining these to our students in the coming weeks. Information will be sent home to our families so you can support the sensible use of technology in our school.

Thank you to the parents who provided me with feedback on our Kinder Transition processes. I really appreciate your input. It has been a while since I was a Kinder parent!

Please email me if you have any concerns:

Have a good week!

Living Well, Learning Well

Our last Rule for Living is I am a learner. Here are some tips!

Students and staff form learning teams (be part of the team)

Try hard (persist when things are tough)

Get back on track when re-directed

Self-question - What am I learning? How am I going? How can I improve my work and learning? What help do I need? Who can help?

Don't disrupt the learning of others or the work of adults who are helping us learn.
