School Leaders

This week from our School Leaders:

Hollow House Captains:

Josh

Hello everyone, my name is Josh and I am Hollows House Captain for 2021. In this role, I want to make sure all students are comfortable during sporting and other house events. This role is important to me because I want to represent Hollows House with pride and always do my best. I’ll make sure to do the right thing and I want to be remembered as a great House Captain in my last year at primary school. I learned it was tough to go through the application process and it taught me to really step up my writing skills so I could be a leader. I like running, soccer, eating, video games and memes. My interests in school are P.E. and Art. I have a goldfish named T.T. (Timmy Turtle 🐢) and I’m working towards my black belt in Jiu Jitsu. I will do my best for Hollows House in 2021 and I will wear a yellow wrist band so you can recognise me. If you see me in the school yard, come and say hi!

Rehan

Hi, my name is Rehan, I am a Hollows House Captain this year. As a House Captain I want to encourage everyone to be actively engage in sports and being healthy. This role is important to me as I have engaged in number of sports since I was little. Being a House Captain allows me to support the whole community in Monty Primary and proudly carry the Hollows flag. Going through the application process I learnt that hard work and being passionate about what you do, are very important. I really enjoyed writing my proposal for this role.

I love playing soccer in school and out of school. I am passionate about swimming, athletics and Karate. And I like coding and programming too. I really enjoy having fresh air on my face every day while walking to school.

Irwin House Captains:

Jace

Hi, my name is Jace Hamilton and I am the proud leader of the Irwin House for 2021.

During my time as House Captain I will help, run, coordinate and organise house events and tally up the house points at the end of the week.

In my time as House Captain, I would like to introduce in-to-house sports.

I will learn and develop my leadership skills while representing my AMAZING school.

Through the application process I learnt how to write a formal letter, to speak amongst my peers and lots about the application process.

I am most passionate about Soccer, Cricket, Music and Leadership. My cricket team Bundoora United just won the under 12’s Teal Grand final which is my happiest moment of my life. (So far 😊)

I am very proud to represent my school and House Captain in 2021.

Sincerely yours,

Jace K Hamilton.

My favourite sport is footy and I have been playing since 2017. I barrack for hawthorn in the AFL. I like going on holidays, watching movies and playing / teasing my dog.

Freeman House Captains:

Luc

Hello my name is Luc and  I am a Freeman House Captain for 2021.

I’ve been at Montmorency Primary School since Prep and have always wanted to lead Freeman. As Freeman House Captain I hope to help Freeman be the best house it can be.

As Freeman House Captain I will lead by example, support and inspire my fellow Freemans.  What I learnt from the application process was that writing an application letter and preparing a speech requires a lot of time and planning, and public speaking is not as easy as I thought.

A little bit about me is I love soccer, running, maths and engineering.  I love soccer so much I play for a local club on weekends, I play it at school during recess and I will be playing on the interschool sports soccer team too!

Paterson House Captains:

Sarah

Hello, my name is Sarah. I am the 2021 Paterson House Captain for Montmorency Primary.

The application process for this role took a lot of preparation and commitment and what I learned about myself is that being a leader is something that is very important to me and something I will work hard at.

As House Captain I will lead by example and encourage you all to do your best to earn points for your house. There will be many house events throughout the year that I am very excited about, and I hope that everyone has lots of fun taking part.

I will be there to help out at all the events and collect house points every week. I will also look out for opportunities to get involved in helping Monty students and the school.

I am looking forward to having a leadership role this year and will thoroughly enjoy being House Captain.
