Cooking:
Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students were all excited to get into the kitchen this term.
In our first lesson, students created their Food Identity Star to demonstrate that we are all different in the foods we like and eat.
In our second lesson, students worked as a team to create a delicious hummus dip, made with only 4 ingredients; chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil. Using the ‘pull choppers’ to ensure our dip was nice and smooth was a lot of fun!
Gardening:
These beautiful autumn mornings have provided us with the perfect environment for learning in the garden. Seeds were the focus of our lessons this week and we explored the garden looking for all varieties - big and small. The most excitement was generated from the opening of scarlet runner bean pods which house a striking pink, purple and black coloured bean inside. Below, 5/6 C show off their scarlet runner beans and corn.
