Parent Helpers

Thank you to parents who have provided expression of interest to help with reading in the classroom. 

We will put together a timetable which will be sent out via Seesaw with all relevant information. 

Open day of learning

It was nice to finally open our doors to the classroom for parents today. 

The students have been working very hard and are proud of their achievements in our Inquiry unit. 

We have explored growth mindset, gender identity and personal strengths with our overarching question of how to be a good learner.

Fiesta!

After postponing last year's fiesta, we finally had our massive night, and what a great night! Thank you to all families who attended and parents who helped prepare for the night. 

The F1 Students did an amazing job performing the dance and singing 'Chivita'. 

Well done to Nina, Edith, Bonnie, Fox and Xavier for their special performance of 'the 3 little pigs'. 

We also witnessed a great dancing performance organised by Señorita Laura and the F1 Students, involving high quality leg moves and coordination.

Out of all the activities, with certainty, the jumping castle, face painting and the photo station were the most demanded destination amongst our students, who displayed an outstanding behaviour throughout the event, respecting each other´s turns and being inclusive.

It was definitely a memorable night that will remain as an astonishing experience for the Newlands community.
