PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

WELCOME

Welcome back everyone to another busy term at Echuca East Primary School. 

We hope that you all had a lovely Easter and a restful holiday break. I certainly enjoyed the gorgeous autumn sunshine during that first week of the holidays. It sure feels like Winter is on its way now though, so remember to pull out those school jumpers and make sure they are named so we can return them to you promptly when they accidentally get left behind. 

ANZAC Day

Our Level 4s conducted a whole school ANZAC Day ceremony at assembly today, which was great. We are very fortunate to have received an invitation for two of our leaders to attend the COVID version of the local ANZAC Day Service on Sunday. Thank you to Zoe and Chloe for representing our school on this special occasion.

Cross-Country and COVID

Week 2 is packed with lots of action already. It is great to have our Cross-Country extravaganza back on the calendar scheduled for next Tuesday and as this is an outdoor event, it would be awesome to have parents onsite to cheer on our kids. Just another little step closer to ‘normal’. A reminder though, that you will still need to sign in using the COVID QR Code and socially distance while onsite. Unfortunately attending assemblies is still not possible at this time, due to the COVID indoor density limits that still apply. We will continue to send out the Assembly Highlights via Facebook for those that wish to get a glimpse. 

2021 Prep Information Night

Next Wednesday night at 6pm we will be holding our 2022 Prep Information session in the Arts Centre. With School tours running from 5:30 to 6pm, hosted by our school leaders. If you have a little one starting Prep next year, or you know someone that does, please encourage them to come along and have a look at our great school. Babysitting is also available on the night. So, come along and be entertained by our wonderful staff, sharing the great things we offer.

School Photos

Next Thursday is School Photo day! Everyone should be in full school uniform, all looking super sharp and ready for our 2021 school year snap shots! Please remember to return your Photo envelopes before then. Bring your awesome smiles ready for the cameras!
