Defying the Drift

Congratulations to Colby Elford who successfully applied to take part in this program at Longerenong College during the September school holidays. Over the three day program Colby will undertake a number of farm tours covering a variety of different farming aspects.  He will also learn more about the many different further study options available in Agriculture.

 

School Holiday Opportunity – Introduction to Computer Aided Design (CAD)

This short course will be held during the holidays, running for three days starting Wednesday, September 26th to Friday 29th from 9.00am – 4.00pm. Students will engage in CAD activities, increasing in complexity to create designs that can be printed out using 3D printer technology. Cost is $300. Kwong Lee Dow (KLD) Young Scholars Program

This University of Melbourne program is an academic enrichment program designed to support high achieving students currently in Year 10. Students must demonstrate evidence of leadership potential, active citizenship and community involvement in their application.  Benefits of being a KLD Young Scholar include access to University resources and participation in an exciting program of events and activities, as well as benefits for any student who studies at The University of Melbourne. This program has been successfully running for a number of years and previous recipients have found this to be an extremely worthwhile experience.
