Secondary 11/12

Team Leader's Message

Term3

Term 3 has been an exciting and busy time for our senior students. Our Year 12 students have been busily completing their VCAL assessment tasks as the end of their formalised schooling draws near.  Planning is well underway for their ‘Giving Back’ project which will be made public early next term. Students are currently in the production phase and are very excited about their innovative ideas. All Secondary Year 11 and 12 students continue in their VET programs on Wednesdays and Work Related Skills programs on Thursdays. I hope you’ve had a chance to pop down to Bunnings in Mill Park for a sausage.

Year 12 students have now had an opportunity to work in the Café and Year 11 students are now starting to have their opportunities. Its a popular work experience with many students now considering it as a future employment option.

Year 11 students have also been busy this term. They had their Presentation Ball on Friday August 26th and it was another night to remember. The event started off with students being picked up and arriving to the venue in limousines, with photographers and videographers like paparazzi recording their every move.  All of our young people took their moment to shine as they were first introduced by Jane and Megan and then presented to their 300+ Family and Friends by Jason and Bronwyn. Students then performed their 2 dances and performed even better than all of the rehearsals . Once the formalities were over everyone could relax, enjoy a delicious meal and then dance the night away with families and friends. Please enjoy a selection of photos from the evening.
