Market Day
Grade 5 and 6 have participated in a very successful and fun Market Day, which is part of a business and economics unit designed to help our senior students develop an understanding of what it takes to run a business.
Ati (6G): "My proudest moment was getting everything finished so we could finalise the extra details to make our store successful. I was very happy with our success because we made lot of people smile"
Ben (6G): "My group sold white shoes and the kids could customise them. At the last minute, one of our teammates came up with the idea of making a raffle and this gave us another thing to sell to customers. "
Lottie (5C) " We had a stall where people could bring in a t-shirt or get some socks from us and we helped them to tie dye them. I was proud of how much we sold and just making the kids have so much fun and I think they really enjoyed it"
Belle (5C) "I am proud of having a lot of customers and being able to put it all together because at the start we didn't know what to do. In the end we sold out of dye."
Junior School Swimming Lessons
Keziah (1F) "We have been practising kicking on our backs, using kickboards. I enjoy going under water."
Safi (2G) "On safety day we were in the deep end and we had to swim to the shallow end. We did some rescues and after we tried life jackets and swam on our back in a circle. We had to wear some spare clothes over our bathers so we see what it might be like if we needed to swim in our clothes."
Jordan (Prep S) " We did dive strokes. You put your arms together and kick your legs straight. I liked getting the rings from the bottom of the pool."
