2022 Literacy Competition

Every year, the Independent Education Union, together with the English Teachers’ Association of Queensland, holds a Literary Competition.  Students are invited to enter both original poetry and short stories. This year, Amaeh Reed, in Year 9 was awarded a Highly Commended award in the Years 9 and 10 Poetry section. I was fortunate to attend the presentation evening to see her receive her award.  With over 1000 entries in the competition, Amaeh’s achievement is one to be celebrated.  Congratulations, Amaeh!
