Victorian Snow Sports Championships

On Saturday 27th August Daisy Bohun (year 10) represented Matthew Flinders Girls School in the Victorian Snow Sports Championships. She competed in the Skier Cross (Division 2). Out of an initial starting group of 146 girls she made it through to the finals with a time of 51 seconds. Her fastest run of the day was 44 seconds, however due to a technical glitch the timer failed to stop when she crossed the line. They granted her another run, but unfortunately fatigue played a part (having to rush back up to the starting gates within the allotted appeal time) and her final time was 47 seconds. Still a great result, being 4 seconds faster than her morning run and ranking her 31st in the State.
