Principal's Report

No Hat No play!

Week in review:

Well it has been another huge week at ACPS!

The rain has been constant to the extent that we could not get outside for Bike Ed with all our grade 5/6 students on Thursday morning - however the indoor activities were good fun!

LION KING JR:

Thursday afternoon saw the whole school attend the Lion King Production by Gavin Andrew.

Wow! Just wow! The students performing were all amazing!   The choreography, the sets, and the staging was just fabulous! Well done to everyone involved. There are 2 more shows on Saturday so make sure you don't miss out! See our School President's page for some great photos by Jimmy Harris.

CLASS FORMATION 2023

We are currently planning our 2023 class structures. This is an intensive process that we take great care with to ensure that the needs of your child are met.

In determining your child's placement for 2023, consideration will be given to gender, the previous class, each child’s ability,  behaviour and friendship groups etc. Individual needs and a whole school perspective will be considered. Please see our Class Formation Policy on the website.

All parental input must be directed to the Principal and placed in writing by FRIDAY October 28 2022 so that Class Formation can occur before the end of term. Reasonable

requests based on educational grounds will be communicated to staff prior to the  formation of classes. Once draft classes are completed, the Principal will make any necessary final alterations. Thankyou for your understanding.

KILOMETRE CLUB:

All students are welcome to join us at the oval 8.45am every morning to be part of Kilometre Club!

Sustainability/Chicken Care

We urgently need some more volunteer families to care for our chickens each week (and keep the weekend eggs for your family!) No experience is necessary and you will be given clear instructions. If you are part of our school community and want to help each week, please email Sarah.Bailey2@education.vic.gov.au

A friendly reminder that our fresh eggs are available to purchase at the office too!

Our Green Thumb team and School Captains will be attending a Sustainability workshop "Lead to Sustain" run by Manningham council with local high school students facilitating many of the activities next Friday 21 October. We look forward to sharing more about the day and what we learnt/did in upcoming newsletters.

Have a good weekend.
