MENTAL HEALTH WEEK

MS MANDY MCCALLUM - DIRECTOR OF WELLBEING

This week we celebrated Mental Health Week which is an annual event to raise awareness of mental health, reduce the stigma and discrimination against people living with mental illness and promote positive wellbeing in the community.  Our Wellbeing leaders, Anellie Sabado and Zoya Aslam along with members of the Wellbeing Committee have been busy running activities during the week. It has been wonderful to see the whole school get involved in the different events, join together as a whole community and build an understanding of the importance of connection in improving mental health.

On Wednesday we gathered together as a whole school to promote the Beyond Blue initiative Big Blue Table, this idea was to develop a sense of belonging for our students and for them to know that they are always supported and it is important to reach out in times of need.
