Frew House Dinner

For many, Frew's magical ‘Midsummer's Night Mystery’ House Dinner Night on 13th September was the highlight of the year. This pleasant evening helped to celebrate what an incredible year it has been, filled with fun, entertaining acts, and speeches. The night included a Murder Mystery in which the murder of Mr Furphy had to be solved in table groups with clues and hints provided periodically over the course of the evening.

Paradoxically, Mr Furphy himself was keenly involved in trying to work out who the perpetrator was, and why he had been killed.

Each House Tutor Group also showcased some of the fine talent in Frew House, with the evening featuring the Frew Idol Competition.  The acts included the well-rehearsed dances from the Year 8s with ‘Single Ladies’, the Year 7s with ‘We Will Rock You’ , the Year 10 rendition of ‘Thriller’, the Year 12 Kazoo Star Wars theme and the Year 11 performance of ‘Great Balls of Fire’.  The Frew Idol winners were Year 9 with their entertaining performance of ‘Mr Sandman’. Every Frewian participated enthusiastically! It was certainly a night to remember and a huge thank you to Mr Langan, Mr Furphy and the House Tutors for their dedication and work throughout the year and to the Year 11 House Tutor Group who helped bring together an enjoyable night for all. The Tech students, Miss Ford, Mr Beever and Mrs Canobie are also thanked for helping make the night such a success. This exciting evening has made Frew eager for what the rest of the year and 2023 has to offer.
