RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

This Friday 28th October at 10:00am Sacred Heart will be celebrating a special All Saints/ All Souls day Mass led by Fr Michael. On the Liturgical calendar All Saints Day is marked on the 1st November, a day where we celebrate all saints and martyrs. All Souls Day is on the 2nd November, the day we remember those who have passed before us.

Following Mass and recess we will set up stalls and activity stations to begin our Mission Day activities.

Each year level has chosen an activity or goods to sell that will raise money for people in need.

Foundation- Cupcakes, Year 1- Lolly bags, Year 2- Decorated biscuits, Year 3- Dim sims, Year 4- Playdough/Slime Containers/Kinetic Sand, Year five- Crazy pencils and Year six- several stalls and set up.

Money raised this year will go to the local communities in Ethiopia to help them move forward in providing life-changing opportunities to those most in need. Every year the catholic church supports a range of mission development programs in Ethiopia addressing malnutrition, the lack of access to education for young children, and the vulnerable position of women in society.  We at Sacred Heart are proud to be able to take part in the catholic mission in raising money for the less fortunate.
