Vegetarian burgers 

Spring has sprung!

We have been celebrating Spring in the kitchen with some delicious meals, dining alfresco when we can.

 

In Week 8 we made vegetarian burgers complete with hand-rolled fresh buns, chickpea, and lentil patties, homemade tomato sauce, and crunchy lettuce from the garden. To finish the term this week we are making a special Italian dish “Gnocchi Alla Romana” semolina gnocchi which we are serving with a sage and butter sauce and a fresh garden salad.

 

Well done Year 5 on a fabulous term in the kitchen. We hope you continue preparing and sharing all of your kitchen skills with your families and friends. 

 

A big thank you to all our wonderful kitchen volunteers this term, the kids have enjoyed having you all in the kitchen and being able to share their delicious creations. We appreciate your support of the program and hope to see you back in the kitchen next year.
