Things to do

Queensberry Cup

The Centre on Errol Street is proud to present the Queensberry Cup on the 22nd of October 2022. Queensberry Cup is a street festival with something for everyone.

The music stage will feature the cream of Melbourne’s live music scene with a focus on Indigenous and culturally diverse women.

Cirque Culinaire is a food performance stage that explores the diverse food stories of our neighbourhood. Featuring restaurateurs and home cooks alike, this will be the place to sample tastes from across the globe. And North Melbourne’s hospitality businesses will be serving their finest food and drink.

The whole event is designed to reflect and celebrate the local community. There will be lots to get involved in, whether it’s Fashions on the Footpath, the Famous Village Dog Show (yes, bring your dog!) or games and activities for kids.

The Billy Cart Challenge is a bold new concept that draws on some old technology. Individuals and groups are invited to design and build an unpowered vehicle and then race it down Queensberry St. There are prizes for the speediest and for the most creative. Anyone aged 7 or above can enter and there are different categories to make sure you compete against your peers.

For those not sure how to design and build a billy cart, The Centre is hosting free workshops to help.
