Parent Gen Kelly wasn't wrong when she referred to a recent Parents and Friends meeting as MAMMOTH in a recent Facebook.

Yes, this is a hint to join the page if you are yet to do so.

Friday 4 November, 4 - 8 pm is fast approaching!  By now you should have received a printed flyer about the fete from your eldest child and your children should be about to tell you more about the fete and the stall being held by their year level. While we have done so much already and there are so many amazing plans coming together, there's still much to be done to bring it together on the day.  We still need you and there are plenty of ways you can get involved.

We need:

  • more parent/family involvement in the year-level themes - get in touch with your children's teacher and ask how you can help
  • volunteers for the day - a roster will be sent out in due course.  We need you to sign up for at least an hour
  • more donations for our auctions, do you have connections?
  • someone with skills in social media.  We would really like to ramp up our Facebook posts on the Events page (and possibly Insta)
  • a skilled photographer/videographer to take images on the day and compile something amazing post-event.

The video on this page is a great example.

If you would like to join the ‘keep in touch' list for the fete and parents and friends, or if you have an idea/question, would like to volunteer, etc. simply drop Lucy a line at:

What is the fete?

Our Around the World School Fete is an exciting event for the whole family.  The fete, which is like a fair or festival, will be held on Friday 4 November, 4-8pm on the grasketball court and oval at school.  There will be a fun atmosphere where we can come together to play, eat and celebrate our wonderfully diverse community.

Who is organising the fete?

The fete is organised by the NMPS Parents and Friends Association, a group of volunteer parents and family members of children who attend the school.

How can I get involved?

Please contact Parents and Friends at community@nmps.fun and we can provide the support you need to help with our fete.  You might like to:

  • Organise or run something as part of a year level theme
  • Donate things: prizes or materials and goods for the year level stalls, items for the silent auction or raffle, food, drink etc.
  • Perform on the stage: do you or your family have a musical, dance or other talent?
  • Help us seek donations/support (you must talk to us about this before approaching local businesses, so we don’t double up)
  • Volunteer on the day: closer to the event we will call for volunteers
  • Come to Parents and Friends (P&F) meetings
