Waste-free Wednesdays

Wednesdays are Waste-Free and we are hoping to have as many lunch boxes free from plastic packaging as possible!

Last week was our second Waste-Free Wednesday.  We are hoping to improve on the results from the last one. We are excited to let everyone know that Waste-Free Wednesday will become a regular thing every Wednesday at North Melbourne Primary School in Term 4. Get brainstorming ideas on how to pack your lunchbox without plastic packaging.

As a part of this initiative, there will be a rewards incentive. I would like to introduce our Waste-Free Mascots tokens. 

More information will be provided about just how you can collect these mascots at a later date. We will say though that the more lunches you bring each Waste-Free Wednesday that are free from plastic packaging, the more mascots you will collect.
