School Council News

Gill Cashion

Hi EPS community

It is hard to believe we are about to hit the middle of the year, but feeling winter really kick in this week I am definitely ready for a couple of weeks up in the mountains.

At our last school council meeting we covered a number of topics including:

  • The safety of road crossings around the school, in particular the roundabout at New and Murphy Street and in front of the school on Murphy Street. We will reach out to Bayside Council to see what can be done to improve the situation.
  • The school’s approach to balancing well-being and co-curricular activities with literacy and numeracy activities.
  • Progress with the numerous building and grounds activities including the oval that should be ready in early Term 3.
  • The great work of the PCA through the walkathon, Mothers/Carers/Special Friends gratitude store and lunch and preparing for the Big Night Out.

We also welcomed Christine Kim, Year 2 Teacher to the council.

I hope you all have a fun and restful holiday break.

Please reach out to me, or any of the council members, if you have any questions or want to know more about what we do - we will be looking for new members next year.

Thankyou,

Gill Cashion (Mother to Gemma Year 5 & Angus Year 3)
