Kangourou des Maths Award Ceremony

This week, we were pleased to present Kangourou des Maths certificates in celebration of the extraordinary achievement of our French Partial Immersion and Binational students in this international competition. Kangourou des Maths is an international maths competition, held in French, with over 255,000 students taking part from over 40 countries worldwide. We were also delighted to welcome Camberwell Primary School award recipients and staff to receive their awards and prizes. Congratulations to all 70 AHS & CPS students who received Credit (top 33%), Distinction (top 20%), High Distinction (top 10%), Gold (top 5%) & Elite (top 1%) awards.

IDAHOBIT Day

Last week, AHS students and staff sent the message “you are welcome” to the LGBTIQA+ members of our community, with the celebration of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia. Students were invited to wear rainbow accessories and write messages of support to their peers which were displayed in the student entry. We are very proud of our inclusive and welcoming learning environment and the strength of our school values, Diversity and Respect, which can be seen in action at our school every day.

House Cross Country

Year level communities enjoyed the gorgeous sunshine and fresh air as they made their way down to Gardiners Creek for our House Cross Country event this week. Well done

to all our participants, who either ran hard with their eye on Districts, or enjoyed a pleasant stroll. We are very lucky to have such a brilliant HPE team who always do such a great job coordinating these whole school events! Thank you them and to all our supervising staff.
