Year 10 Humanities Excursion

Year 10 Humanities take to the field

On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings this week, the Year 10 students utilised their double Humanities lesson to take their learning out into the field. Rather than learn about environmental change from a textbook, students visited two locations along the Werribee River to observe ways the local environment has been changed by human activities and assess whether management strategies have been beneficial to the environment. Students enjoyed applying their Geography learning to the “real world” and to their own backyard. It was great to see students actively engaging in the fieldwork activities.
