ICAS Awards Ceremony

2023 Registration Is Now Open For ICAS!

Each year GNLC students are invited to participate in ICAS competitions.

The ICAS competition is designed to recognise and reward academic excellence. Every year over a million students across the country participate.

At the end of Term 1, we held the ICAS Awards ceremony to recognise some of our highest achieving students with parents and students invited to attend. We presented certificates to those students who achieved a Distinction (top 10% of the country) or High Distinction, placing them in the top 1% of students across the country.

GNLC had 124 students participate in the English and Spelling Bee competitions and were awarded 6 High Distinctions and 12 Distinctions. In Mathematics, GNLC had 146 students participate, with 3 High Distinctions and 8 Distinctions. Digital Technology saw 61 students participate with 1 High Distinction and 3 Distinctions.

We congratulate all students who participated in the ICAS competitions and particularly commend the Principal's Award recipients awarded to the highest achiever in each category:

English & Science:  Sandaru A

Spelling Bee:  Indu T

Mathematics and Digital Technology:  Mayan N

The competitions are held each year in the month of August.
