STAY, PLAY, LEARN

Stay, Play, Learn is a program that involves parents and children 0 to 5 years old from our community getting together to share some learning experiences and build connections. Stay, Play, Learn will be happening on Tuesday 23rd May and Tuesday 13th June. Please feel free to attend any or both of these dates. Stay, Play, Learn runs from 8.50am-10.00am approximately.

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME

Every year, a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author is read simultaneously to students right across Australia. This year, Living Waters celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday 24th May from 11.00am-1.00pm. Our students began in the hall with a big screen reading of the book. This was followed by fun rotating activities that focused on themes in the book but also celebrated literacy, science and other curriculum areas. We all enjoyed a fabulous session.

ADOPT A SLOTH

To help celebrate the National Simultaneous Storytime book ‘The Speedy Sloth’, Living Waters is raising money to adopt a sloth. Raised money funds conservation solutions in Costa Rica to help save sloths and protect their natural environment.

The adoption package our school will receive includes:

  • Hand-made crochet sloth toy.
  • Copy of the bestselling book “Sloths: Life in the Slow Lane” by Dr. Rebecca Cliffe and Suzi Eszterhas.
  • Full biography and history profile of your chosen sloth.
  • Personalized printed adoption certificate.
  • High-resolution photograph print.

A limited number of posters were sold in the library during Break 1 and 2 on Wednesday 24th May. Students can also donate any amount and will receive a sloth sticker as a thank you.

BOOK CLUB

Book club catalogues have been sent home. Orders are due back Friday 2nd June.

LOST PROPERTY

We have a lot of lost property at Reception, mainly jumpers and jackets. If your child is missing something, please come and have a look through. Please remember to label all hats and clothing so we can return them to your child.

STUDENT DEPARTURES

Families are reminded that in line with our enrolment policy conditions we require a full term's notice of student departures. If you are planning to depart from Living Waters please let us know by emailing living.waters@ntschools.net

CANTEEN

Please remember that all canteen orders require a bag. Separate bags are needed for first and second break. You can purchase paper or reusable bags through the School24 app when ordering - please check the 'bags' section of the menu. Students are also welcome to use a lunch bag purchased from elsewhere or brought from home - make sure to clearly label it though.

Narelle in the canteen is looking for volunteers to help out, particularly from 8.30-10.30am and 12.00-1.00pm, but any time you can give would be much appreciated. To register your interest please email Narelle at lwls.canteen@ntschools.net.

Our School ID for School24 ordering is 2513 7963.
