From Garden

to Plate

What a great success we had this week! The weather was kind to us and were actually able to plant some of our seeds for our winter crop. We planted some broadbeans, broccoli, cauliflowers, onions and silverbeet. We planted them in little seed trays with some soil and then we watered them. We also planted some old sprouted potatoes too. We are really excited to see if they will grow potatoes!

Our Grade 1/2s had a fabulous time making pasta today too. The pasta was a little different as we used semolina flour to make 'capunti'. We had to roll these with our hands and then use a special technique to press and roll to make our pasta shape. It was a little tricky at first but by the end we all had a really good handle on it.

Till next Fortnight!
