Healthy Kids Learn Better

Dear Parents/Guardinas,

Concussion has become a huge topic in contact sports. More research has been done into the damage done by constant knocks ( mild, medium or severe) to the head and not allowing individual to rest long enough before going back to their sports of choice.

Early detection, education and treatment is the ideal to ensure your children are not damaging their brains while keeping healthy and active.

As always it is a fine line between wanting our children to be healthy and active and keeping them from potential long term harm.

The health centre has been sent these links and would like to share them with you all.

DOCUMENTATION

  • DOCUMENTATION - It is of utmost importance that our school is provided with up to date information. Documentation that is required has been sent to the relevant families, most recently via email. Please complete and return to the Health Centre as soon as possible.

MEDICATION

  • MEDICATION - Occasionally, students require medication while they are at school. In order to administer medication to students a Medication Authority form needs to be completed with a parent’s signature. Medications are to be provided to the school in original packaging with pharmacy labels intact. Tablet sleeves need to have the full name of the medication and expiry date intact.

AMBULANCE COVER

  • AMBULANCE COVER - A reminder, in the event of an emergency, either by accident / injury or illness, the college will call an ambulance. Please ensure your child is covered by ambulance cover if you do not have a Health Care Card. The costs incurred for an ambulance will be the responsibility of the respective parents/guardians.
  •

COVID 19

Please be vigilant with COVID 19 sign & symptoms, if your child is unwell do not send them to school until the symptoms have resolved.

We need to keep each other safe so life can return to some sort of normality.
