WELLBEING UPDATE

It was a big fortnight in Wellbeing with our exciting launch of our much anticipating Wellbeing program Resilience Project on Friday. A big thanks to our Parents and Friends who helped fund part of this program.

Resilience Project Launch

On Friday all our students participated in the introduction lesson and over the course of the year will complete up to 40 different lessons within the 4 themes:

Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy. We strongly recommend watching the Parent Education series to continue the learning of Resilience Project at home and have a common language between school and home.

Parent Education - Resilience Project

We have had an enormously positive wave of feedback coming through regarding the Parent Education Video shared via Dojo last week. This was the first video of a 5 episode series to introduce, educate and help parents support the resilience project. If you haven't watched the introduction video please do so below.

CyberSafety Incursions for Prep to 6

On Friday 26/3 all our students will participate in an engaging Cybersafety incursion ran by Inform and Empower, the cyber safety experts who ran our parent webinar at the beginning of the year. There will be 3 programs run, one for Prep to 2, 3-4 and 5-6 students. We highly recommend discussing this learning with your children after the incursion, a few simple questions to ask in the car are:

"After the cybersafety incursion, what are some of the things you are thinking about doing differently?"

"What was 1 new thing you learnt or thought about from the incursion?"

"Is there anything you or us as a family can do better with technology at home?"

Family eSafety Insurance Sponsor

These CyberSafety Incursions were sponsored by CoverIT. We are grateful for partnering with CoverIT, a local eSafety Insurance business ran by one of our community families, the Petruccili family. A big thanks to Damian who has sponsored this program. He is passionate about eSafety and Cyber issues in our community and we are grateful for supporting the CyberSafety learning at our school. Please see the below flier of information regarding eSafety insurance that may be suitable for your family.

National Day Against Bullying / STAR Day

In the past, we have celebrated our school values of STAR for STAR day on the National Day Against Bullying. Due to a clash with a 3/4 incursion we have decided to celebrate both National Day Against Bullying and our STAR day on the last Monday of term.

This will be a free dress day where the students are encouraged to wear yellow or a splash of yellow. We have planned fun and engaging activities throughout the day promoting positive behaviour, collaboration, friendship, respect, responsibility and kindness. It should be a great day!

Cheers all and take care,
